贈孟浩然 A Message to Meng Haoran

李白 Li Bai

Master, I hail you from my heart,
wú ài mèng fū zi ,
And your fame arisen to the skies....
fēng liú tiān xià wén 。
Renouncing in ruddy youth the importance of hat and chariot,
hóng yán qì xuān miǎn ,
You chose pine-trees and clouds; and now, whitehaired,
bái shǒu wò sōng yún 。
Drunk with the moon, a sage of dreams,
zuì yuè pín zhōng shèng ,
Flower- bewitched, you are deaf to the Emperor....
mí huā bù shì jūn 。
High mountain, how I long to reach you,
gāo shān ān kě yǎng ?
Breathing your sweetness even here!
tú cǐ yì qīng fēn 。
