天末懷李白 To Li Bai at the Sky Send

杜甫 Du Fu

A cold wind blows from the far sky....
liáng fēng qǐ tiān mò ,
What are you thinking of, old friend?
jūn zi yì rú hé 。
鸿
The wildgeese never answer me.
hóng yàn jǐ shí dào ,
Rivers and lakes are flooded with rain.
jiāng hú qiū shuǐ duō 。
...A poet should beware of prosperity,
wén zhāng zēng mìng dá ,
Yet demons can haunt a wanderer.
chī mèi xǐ rén guò 。
Ask an unhappy ghost, throw poems to him
yīng gòng yuān hún yǔ ,
Where he drowned himself in the Milo River.
tóu shī zèng mì luó 。
