輞川閑居贈裴秀才迪 A Message from my Lodge at Wangchuan to Pei Di

王維 Wang Wei

The mountains are cold and blue now
hán shān zhuǎn cāng cuì ,
And the autumn waters have run all day.
qiū shuǐ rì chán yuán 。
By my thatch door, leaning on my staff,
yǐ zhàng chái mén wài ,
I listen to cicadas in the evening wind.
lín fēng tīng mù chán 。
Sunset lingers at the ferry,
dù tóu yú luò rì ,
Supper-smoke floats up from the houses.
xū lǐ shàng gū yān 。
...Oh, when shall I pledge the great Hermit again
fù zhí jiē yú zuì ,
And sing a wild poem at Five Willows?
kuáng gē wǔ liǔ qián 。
