與諸子登峴山 On Climbing Yan Mountain with Friends

孟浩然 Meng Haoran

While worldly matters take their turn,
rén shì yǒu dài xiè ,
Ancient, modern, to and fro,
wǎng lái chéng gǔ jīn 。
Rivers and mountains are changeless in their glory
jiāng shān liú shèng jī ,
And still to be witnessed from this trail.
wǒ bèi fù dēng lín 。
Where a fisher-boat dips by a waterfall,
shuǐ luò yú liáng qiǎn ,
Where the air grows colder, deep in the valley,
tiān hán mèng zé shēn 。
The monument of Yang remains;
yáng gōng bēi zì zài ,
And we have wept, reading the words.
dú bà lèi zhān jīn 。
