賦得古原草送別 Grasses

白居易 Bai Juyi

Boundless grasses over the plain
lí lí yuán shàng cǎo ,
Come and go with every season;
yī suì yī kū róng 。
Wildfire never quite consumes them –
yě huǒ shāo bù jǐn ,
They are tall once more in the spring wind.
chūn fēng chuī yòu shēng 。
Sweet they press on the old high- road
yuǎn fāng qīn gǔ dào ,
And reach the crumbling city-gate....
qíng cuì jiē huāng chéng 。
O Prince of Friends, you are gone again....
yòu sòng wáng sūn qù ,
滿
I hear them sighing after you.
qī qī mǎn bié qíng 。
