本 以 高 难 饱 ，
Pure of heart and therefore hungry,
běn yǐ gāo nán bǎo ，
徒 劳 恨 费 声 。

五 更 疏 欲 断 ，
Oh, this final broken indrawn breath
wǔ gèng shū yù duàn ，
一 树 碧 无 情 。

薄 宦 梗 犹 汎 ，
